Colleagues in the field of sign language interpreting and translation, we invite you to participate in our Call for Professional Poster Submissions for The Together Conference 2025 – Blurred Boundaries: Sharpening Perspectives. This online event offers a unique opportunity to showcase your innovative work, share insights, and contribute to a global conversation about the evolving challenges and opportunities in our profession.
Who Can Submit?
We welcome submissions from:

Professional interpreters and translators

Researchers and academics in sign language studies, linguistics, interpreting, and translation

Educators and students at all stages of their careers

Practitioners from community, legal, medical, or educational settings

Professionals involved in research, teaching, or advocacy
Collaborative and interdisciplinary projects are highly encouraged, and all submissions should represent original work that has not been previously presented or published.
Poster Format and Design Guidelines
To ensure your poster is presented in the best possible way, please follow these guidelines:

Format: PDF
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 or 4:3 for optimal viewing across devices
File Size: Maximum of 10 MB
Design Recommendations:

Use sans-serif fonts (e.g., Arial, Calibri) for clarity

Suggested font sizes: Title (36pt), section headings (24pt), body text (18pt)

Organise your content clearly into distinct sections (e.g., Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion)

Employ bullet points, charts, and concise statements to keep the information digestible

Choose a high-contrast color scheme to ensure readability, including for those with visual impairments
Content Requirements
Your poster should clearly reflect your research or professional project. Be sure to include:

Review and Presentation
All posters will be reviewed by our dedicated panel based on relevance to the theme, originality, and quality of presentation. Accepted posters will be displayed on our online conference platform, offering you the chance to showcase your work to a global audience. Additionally, presenters are encouraged to engage with attendees via the platform by answering questions and participating in discussions.

Submission Deadline: 31st April 2025
Notification of Acceptance: 16th May 2025
Conference Dates: 28th & 29th June 2025
